Lewis Richardson is an Olympic medallist and undefeated professional boxer from Colchester, Essex. Lewis first stepped into a boxing gym at the age of 12 and quickly fell in love with the sport and its core principle of striving to become the best version of yourself, day in, day out. After completing his A-levels, boxing became his sole focus as he committed to pursuing the sport at the highest level.

Lewis went on to represent Team GB and establish himself as one of Britain’s leading amateur boxers, winning silver at the 2022 European Championships in Yerevan and bronze at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, before fulfilling his dream by qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games at light-middleweight in Bangkok.

At Paris 2024, Lewis secured an Olympic bronze medal, becoming Team GB’s only boxing medallist of the Games. His Olympic semi-final against Mexico’s Marco Verde took place in front of 15,000 spectators on the centre court of Roland-Garros and was broadcast live on BBC One to an estimated audience of more than 4 million viewers.

Following the Olympics, Lewis turned professional and signed with Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, with his fights broadcast live on DAZN. He remains undefeated as he continues to build his professional career.

Alongside his sporting journey, Lewis returned to his studies in 2022 and went on to complete a Master’s degree with Distinction in Sports Business Management from Sheffield Hallam University, balancing his education alongside the demands of elite-level boxing.

Beyond the ring, Lewis works across public speaking, media and broadcasting, schools and community programmes, using his experiences to inspire and connect with others. He is also an Athlete Ambassador for Active Essex and Global Ambassador for World Youth Clubs, supporting initiatives both within his home county and internationally.
